(1) In food processing industry, Potassium citrate can be used as buffer agent, chelate agent, stabilizer, antibiotic oxidizer, emulsifier, flavor regluator, etc. It can be used to produce jellies, jam, meat, tinned pastry. Besides, it can also used as emulsifier in cheese and used in citrus freshening.
(2) In pharmaceutical, it is used for curing hypokalimia, potassium depletion and alkalization of urine.
(3) Potassium citrate can also be used as element in high-efficient compound fertilizer, as well as be applied in paper making and gilding.
(4) Potassium citrate can also be used as chemical analytical reagent.
